Haehae/Sizers: We use these tools to size our harakeke leaves ready for further preparation and weaving. We stock two different widths 12mm (our normal weaving width) and 25mm (piupiu or muka width).
These haehae / sizing tools/marker are made with baked clay and the tips are round tip needles so they are thin enough not to leave a big uneven hole (like some shearing combs do) but still sharp enough to puncture your rau/leaf. I love using these and so decided to put some up here for sale for others who might be struggling to make their own.
