RIT Textile Dye Black – Powder

Description

Use this RIT Textile Dye for dyeing your Piupiu or muka but be aware it does NOT TAKE in a HOT dye on Harakeke/NZ Flax. You can still use this lovely dye for your everyday natural fabric dyeing however if you so wish. I normally use two packs instead of 1 bottle of the liquid RIT Dye for this.

We used to use this dye back in the day for all our harakeke dyeing but sadly they changed the formula a few years ago and now it only works in a cold dye (where others such as Teri do not take). So this is the perfect dye for Piupiu dyeing if you do not have access to natural materials for that. The dye will still take on the exposed muka.
